Skin Rejuvenation and Resurfacing
IPL skin rejuvenation
IPL skin treatments using photo rejuvenation . Intense pulsed light (IPL) technology is a treatment breakthrough that can correct a variety of benign skin conditions, such as facial skin imperfections, the side of photoaging, such as benign brown pigment, age spots (su n induced freckles), mottled pigmentation, and poikiloderma, as well as birthmarks, unwanted hair, unsightly small veins, and other blemishes. It offers a safe noninvasive solution that can be tailored to your individual condition and skin type, providing superior cosmetic results and outstanding satisfaction. The gentle, non-ablative treatments used broad-spectrum light to treat the face, chest, neck and hands virtually anywhere that sun damage shows. Anywhere from 3-6 treatments are administered at three-week intervals. Light energy is transformed into heat energy, the chromophore in the target tissue such as hemoglobin or pigment response to the heat energy. This targeted tissue is fragmented and absorbed without damage to the surrounding tissue.
CO2 laser resurfacing
UltraPulse fractional CO2 laser by Lumenis is a laser resurfacing technology with customized single treatments for each patient, that can be used to treat fine lines, texture, discoloration , as well as treat deep wrinkles and scars . The fractional procedure ablates discrete columns of tissue, deposits heat and promotes regeneration throughout the underlying layers of skin. The heat that is produced results in new collagen formation with a single treatment. We see substantial photographic improvement in fine lines and wrinkles. The procedure is performed in the office, patients have approximately 1 week down time, before they are allowed to wear makeup. The effects of CO2 laser resurfacing are immediate and ongoing as a heat stimulates regeneration of collagen that is maximized at approximately 6 months.
